The drug in tablet form is marketed in four different versions. Their composition is the same, but the difference lies in the mass and concentration of the main active ingredient, as well as additional components. Cats can be given 100 and 150 mg tablets containing 16 and 24 mg of maropitant.

Sereniya tablets, which have a yellow tint, have one advantage - the content of the active substance is stamped on one side, which eliminates the risk of exceeding the dosage (even if the packaging is lost). In addition, for more convenient separation of the tablet, a special dividing strip is provided.

Each package contains an aluminum foil blister containing four tablets.

Dosage form

In veterinary practice, Serenia is used in two forms: tablets and solution for injection.

The solution for injection contains the active ingredient maropitant citrate - 10 mg and auxiliary components: metacresol, sulfobutyl ether and water for injection. Externally, the medicine is a light yellow liquid.

Serenia tablets are intended for oral use with the active component maropitant citrate and excipients - stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, lactose, croscarmellose sodium and dye E110.

The dosage form is round, yellow tablets in dosages of 100 mg, 150 mg, 375 mg and 1000 mg with a dividing groove and the Pfizer logo.

"Serenia" refers to low-toxic drugs and safe veterinary drugs. Residues of the drug are excreted from the animal’s body through urine and feces.

With repeated doses, the medicine accumulates in the body. Dogs and cats easily take the drug. "Sereniya" has a strong therapeutic and preventive effect.

Usually, a single dose is enough for the cat to tolerate the trip well, and repeated doses after a day may be required only in extreme cases.
