Frontline Combo, for cats, drops on the withers against fleas (eggs, larvae, mature forms) and ticks

INSTRUCTIONS for use Frontline Combo for cats COMPOSITION AND FORM OF RELEASE An insecto-acaricidal preparation in the form of a solution for external use, containing fipronil - 9.8% and S-methoprene - 8.8% as active ingredients, and polyvidone and polysorbate. It is a colorless transparent liquid with a weak specific odor. Available packaged in 0.5 ml polyethylene pipettes with a break-off tip. PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES It has a pronounced contact insecto-acaricidal effect, is active against the preimaginal and imaginal phases of development of lice, fleas, lice and ticks (ixodic, cheylitella), parasitic on cats. The mechanism of action of fipronil is to block GABA-dependent (GABA-gamma-aminobutyric acid) receptors of parasites, disrupting the transmission of nerve impulses, which leads to paralysis and death of ectoparasites. S-methoprene inhibits juvenile hormone, which promotes the formation of chitin, thereby disrupting the development of fleas at the egg and larval stages. When applied to the skin, the drug is not absorbed, but gradually, over 24 hours, distributed over the surface of the body and, reserved in the sebaceous glands, has a long-term insecticidal and acaricidal effect in places where ectoparasites are localized. In terms of the degree of impact on the body, Frontline Combo is a low-hazard substance (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007.76), in recommended doses, it does not have a skin-resorptive, sensitizing, embryotoxic, teratogenic or mutagenic effect. In case of contact with eyes, it causes mild irritation. INDICATIONS Prescribed to cats to combat fleas, lice, lice and ticks (ixodidae, cheylitella). DOSES AND METHOD OF APPLICATION Frontline Combo is used externally by topical (Spot On) application to the skin. Before treatment, break off the tip of the pipette, spread the animal’s fur in the back area (between the shoulder blades) and, pressing the pipette, apply the drug to the skin at one or several points. The protective effect of the drug against ixodid ticks in cats lasts up to 3 weeks, against the imago and preimaginal phases of insect development for up to 6 weeks. If the animal is severely affected by lice, fleas, or lice eaters, it is recommended to treat once a month. If the animal is washed more than 2 times a month, it is recommended to reduce the interval between treatments to 3 weeks. It is not recommended to wash animals within 48 hours after treatment with Frontline Combo, or to use other insecticidal and acaricidal agents. SIDE EFFECTS Allergic reactions are possible in hypersensitive animals. CONTRAINDICATIONS Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug. Sick and convalescent animals, as well as kittens under 8 weeks of age, cannot be treated. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS In case of increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug and signs of allergic reactions appear, treatment is stopped, the drug is washed off with water, and antihistamines are given orally. During the procedure with Frontline Combo, you should follow the rules of personal hygiene and safety precautions provided for working with medicinal products for animals. While working with the medicine, you are not allowed to drink, smoke, or eat. If Frontline Combo accidentally gets on the skin or mucous membranes, it should be washed off with a stream of water. After finishing work, wash your hands with warm water and soap. Empty drug pipettes must not be used for household purposes; they must be disposed of with household waste. STORAGE CONDITIONS With precautions according to list B. In the manufacturer's packaging, in a dry place, protected from light and inaccessible to children and animals at a temperature of 0 to 25 ° C. Shelf life: 3 years. pharmachologic effect

The product has an insectoacaricidal effect; it is active against all phases of the development of lice, lice, fleas and ticks that can parasitize dogs.

When the substance enters the animal’s body, it blocks insect receptors and disrupts the functioning of the nervous system, which causes paralysis and subsequent death of the parasites.

Methopropene, contained in Frontline Combo, forms chitin, which disrupts the development of ectoparasites even at the egg stage, so not only adult individuals die, but also unborn parasites. The medicine does not act instantly; when applied to the skin of an animal, it is slowly absorbed, this period may take 1-2 days.

Owner reviews

Tamara, Pumice

“I noticed that the dog began to itch frequently, it turned out to be fleas. I don’t know where he could have picked them up, but the parasites appeared, so he had to look for a way to get rid of them. The veterinary pharmacy recommended an expensive and, as I was told, more effective remedy - Frontline Combo. On the second day after use, I found two dead fleas on the dog’s body and decided that I was done with them. But the dog did not stop itching, and after a couple of days I saw live fleas, I conclude that the money was wasted. I had to go to the vet clinic. The doctor recommended another remedy that relieved the pet of parasites.”

Irina, Moscow

“I chose Frontline Combo because I saw on the packaging that it destroys not only adult parasites, but also their larvae. The price, of course, is steep, but nothing is a pity for your beloved pet. I bought it and applied it to the withers. After two days, I noticed that the dog stopped itching and generally began to look noticeably more cheerful. In general, the medicine helps against fleas well. I recommend!”
